Sarah describes her style as classic, warm and photojournalistic.  This means she tells your story from beginning of the day to the end...with all the candid, fun, beautiful and romantic memories captured in between.  She understands your amazing day can never be repeated and every bit of it is something you will cherish in the memories you make.  Sarah works hard to not interrupt you or your guests during the day but rather enjoys capturing the laughing, dancing and overall moments from your day.  Sarah gently guides you into the best light and backdrops according to your location and venue, but allows you to lead and go with the flow of your day.

Sarah recommends around an hour (or more if possible) of time for just photos with the bride and groom.  Some brides utilize this opportunity and add a first look at the beginning of the couple photographs.  This first look (photos taken before the wedding ceremony) is such an amazing time between the bride and groom to savor their day before things begin.  They are able to slow the day down by using a slotted time during the busy day just for them to share.  Sarah highly recommends the first look for couples and is what allows for some incredibly emotional images you just would not get during the ceremony.  This is always the couples choice but this option is so worth it... Sarah has not had one bride and groom regret spending this extra time during their big day.

Sarah is the sole signature photographer of your day, however certain packages can add an assistant second photographer.  This person works to get photos from your day to complete your story from every angle.  This person also can assist Sarah throughout the day to allow her to get the best photographs possible.   

Sarah is based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan but travels throughout Michigan, into Chicago and Mid-America and other surrounding areas based on your location.  Travel and destination weddings are always a favorite to capture!  Whether you are planning an intimate family and friends wedding, a large church gathering or something else in between, Sarah loves how each day is so unique and is such an honor to provide precious visual memories to her brides and grooms each year!
